History

The Story of BJWCs Beginning



In October, 1965 Rev. James W. Davidson and his wife Eva, started a House Church in a home in Highlands. After six months of saving their money they found and purchased the property here at 13066 Yellow Bluff Road.
The original church name at this location was Yellow Bluff Baptist Church. In late November of 1982 Bro. Jim felt the Lord telling him to resign and move on. A church pulpit committee was selected and in December 1982, Pastor Lyle E. Shiferdek, Jr. (and his wife Jean) were called and became the interim Pastor on January 1st  1983. On the first Sunday of April, 1983 (Easter Sunday) he was officially accepted and became the new Pastor. Over the years
many changes have taken place. The church went from being a Baptist Church to now being a Full Gospel-Spirit-Filled Pentecostal/Charismatic Church as it presently exists today:
